Dr. Maria Perri, a chiropractor since 1984, believes that a whole person approach that addresses the mind/body connection, healthy lifestyle and active participation of patients in their healing process is essential in quality health care. Her unique treatment approach is gentle and specific and emphasizes functional movement, posture, breathing, release of muscle tension and corrective exercise. She blends a relaxed, caring healing environment with a deep commitment to clinical excellence.

Throughout her career she has been actively involved in fitness and has been the staff chiropractor teaching Back in Motion programs in four fitness centers. In 1989 she was a founding board member of New Approaches to Wellness, an inter-disciplinary holistic health association in NJ, and host of a weekly talk radio show “Healthline” from 1995-98.

Having the unique opportunity of training personally with renowned neurologists Drs. Janda & Lewit in Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Perri has lectured extensively since 1995, teaching active care techniques to chiropractors throughout the US, Canada and Europe. She authored a chapter in the textbook Rehabilitation of the Spine (2nd edition) and has published a scientific study on the relationship between breathing patterns, stress and chronic pain.

After a 3 year course in advanced study of physical medicine, Dr. Perri received a Diplomate in Chiropractic Rehabilitation in 2002.  She held a position as post-graduate faculty for three Chiropractic colleges and is currently a Board Member of the American Chiropractic Board of Rehabilitation since 2003. She is a frequent speaker at the American Chiropractic Counsel’s annual conventions.In April 2013, at the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Council’s annual Convention in Orlando Florida, Dr. Perri  was given the prestigious “2013 Rehab Chiropractor of the Year” award.

Dr. Perri is passionate about integrating and teaching Functional Movement and Mindfulness based skills to her patients and community. She began a Youth Athlete Functional Performance Program and has created innovative and practical Corporate Wellness Programs geared to infusing the principles and practice of wellness and mindfulness into the corporate world.

She is happily married with two wonderful children, and is an avid gardener and student of  Natural Horsemanship and enjoys studying mindfulness, movement and creativity in all it’s expressions.

:: Dr. Jodi Bolsenbroek, Chiropractor

Dr. Jodi Bolsenbroek received her Doctorate in Chiropractic (D.C.) from New York Chiropractic College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Prior she earned a bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from SUNY Cortland. Dr. Jodi later went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education from Long Island University.

Having been exposed to Chiropractic at a young age she learned early in life the value of quality health. Dr. Jodi practices the principles of The Prague School of Rehabilitation to facilitate healing in the body focusing on a mind/body connection, a healthy life style through proper movement and nutrition, along with patient education. Her technique includes functional medicine, posture analysis, breathing, corrective exercises, release of muscle tension and the use of Kinesio-Tape; all integrated to promote optimal health.

Dr. Jodi is certified in The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), The Functional Movement Screen (FMS), RockTape, and is a member of Rehab2Perfomance; dedicated to the study of Rehabilitation of the Locomotor System. She has been a key clinician in the treatment of The North Face Endurance Challenge runners at the Bear Mountain, NY location.

She is a member of Results Driven Fitness Systems in Monroe New York and participates season after season in the Orange County Woman’s Soccer League and plays in numerous charity tournaments around the Hudson Valley. Dr. Jodi has completed numerous half marathons and marathons, including the ING NYC marathon in 2013 and The Goofy Challenge in Walt Disney World in 2013. Her dedication to movement and activity is what drives her passion to help patients restore proper mobility and stability while preventing injury.
