:: Laura Greaney, Nutritionist

Laura Greaney is a graduate of SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.  After completing a yearlong thesis in consumer psychology, she was reintroduced to her love of food, nutrition and how the outside world affects both of those.  Laura went back to school and obtained her Masters Degree in Nutrition and Food Science with a specialty in Nutrition Education.  She currently works as a Nutritionist at a Bariatric Surgeons office where she specializes in helping the morbidly obese.  Due to Laura’s background in psychology and nutrition she considers herself a Food Psychologist.  This is a particular nutritionist who focuses on a person’s behaviors of why they eat, what they do and when.  Laura has also recently become a certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach.

Laura is a very active individual.  She is on several intramural sports teams and enjoys being active by using the environments around her.




:: Tom Petrie, Nutritionist

Thomas C. Petrie is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelors degree in Nutrition. He was Nutritionist with the Pritikin Longevity Center in Garden Grove, CA and Nutritionist for the Total Health Foundation in Albany,  NY. He has been a guest speaker on WABC radio and local TV.

He is a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN), with the New York State Department of Education since 1996. He recently completed his first book on the subject of preventing and reversing heart disease. This book is co-authored by Michael B. Schachter, M.D., Medical Director of the Schachter Center for Complementary Medicine. (Click here for more information on Schachter Center for Complementary Medicine) Tom’s second book, is a critique of anti-vitamin articles that so often appear in various media outlets. He lectures frequently in the New York metropolitan area.
